Women in Cleantech

Women in Cleantech is an initiative powered by ecoConnect to bring together female executives who work within the green and cleantech industry sector.

Its focus is on collaboration, connecting women who work in cleantech, and those who wish to, in order to promote innovation and growth within the industry.

Collaborative working, a key strength of many female executives, will be the key to the Cleantech businesses of the future – the traditional, more transactional, ways of conducting business are changing.

What We Do

Connect women through our on-line community and our London networking events. Our networking forums are held quarterly and follow a ‘Question Time’ format, with panel discussion and interactive Q and A, followed by networking, drinks and canapés.

Our Rationale

This is a critical time in the cleantech industry’s evolution when funding, policy and development needs all the focus, collaboration and energy that a variety of different voices can provide.

It is our contention that women are under-represented in this critical sector, from entry-level to boardroom, and that proactive strategies, such as the mentoring of younger female executives could play a vital role; hence Women in Cleantech.

Who Can Join?

Any female executive involved in the cleantech and low carbon industry who wants to add their voice to the community and connect with women in the different areas of the sector, from technicians and consultants to lawyers and headhunters.
